The Directorate of Start-ups and Support Structures
The Directorate of Start-ups and Support Structures is dedicated to fostering innovation and supporting the growth of start-ups through various initiatives and strategic programs. Our key responsibilities include: Strategy Implementation & Monitoring: Leading the execution and oversight of strategies to promote and develop start-ups. Support for Innovative Projects: Promoting and enhancing incubation, acceleration, and other support structures for innovative project holders. Incubation & Acceleration Structures: Developing and implementing strategies to expand support structures such as incubators, accelerators, and business nurseries, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations. Financing Mechanisms: Proposing innovative financing mechanisms to boost the development of support and incubation structures in coordination with related sectors. Innovation & Technology Integration: Encouraging the integration of new technologies and innovations within support and incubation structures to improve their effectiveness. Sector-Specific & University Incubators: Enhancing services provided by support structures, creating specialized incubators for different sectors, and fostering the development of university incubators in collaboration with relevant sectors. International Cooperation: Developing programs to promote international cooperation and partnerships to advance support and incubation structures. Prototyping Financing & Centers: Proposing mechanisms to finance prototypes and creating prototyping centers for innovative projects. Legislative & Regulatory Frameworks: Drafting and proposing laws and regulations related to start-ups and support structures to create a conducive environment for innovation.
